    Simple Machines Workshop

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the staff from the Ipswich Rail Museum cancelled the Year 7's Simple Machines Workshop which was initially scheduled for the 18th March. They were very generous, however, to allow the students to use the Lego kits they would normally use during the presentation. We were able to go through the Powerpoint presentation they emailed through, then make use of the Lego kits. The Year 7 students were able to create a variety of machines using the kits provided which included: a ride-on mower; merry-go ‘round; pedestal fan; and an industrial crane. It was a fantastic way for them to see some of the simple machines we have been learning about in action! Read More...
